My Gear: Vox Li'l Night Train

Now it's time to write few lines about this amp.

My first amp was a modelling Vox VT30, but very soon I found its sound too digital or artficial and started to look for a tube amp. I still liked VOX as brand and when this beauty came across, I couldn't say no.

Lil' Night Train is a 2 watt head with Vox V110NT cabinet. Looks beautiful, sounds chimey, crispy and crunchy. And there is nice amount of little bit higher gain also. All in all it's a nice practice amp and could do some gigging also, at least miked and/or with a bigger cabinet.

I don't have a decent microphone yet, so I can't give a sloppy example of its sound. But as soon as I'll get one, I will put here some sounds.

Epiphone SG G-400 & Vox VT-30

My first guitar was an Epiphone SG G-400 and I've still got and it is quite ok, even though it's an inexpensive guitar. Comfortable to handle, plays well, keeps in tune. The pick-ups could be little better, actually I've been thinking of changing them for better ones.

I highly recommend this Epiphone SG for a beginner - and for others also, it reasonably priced and the quality is very good.
